Wait for it

Disney has pushed the next "Star Wars" film from May 26, 2017, to Dec. 15 of the same year to make room for "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales," originally scheduled for July 7. Because a new "Pirates" is what everyone was clamoring for!

She alive, dammit!

Netflix has renewed "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" for a third season, and said the second season will begin April 15. … The streaming service also will bring "Jessica Jones" back for a second season. … The documentary "Hamilton's America," a behind-the-scenes look at the smash Broadway musical, will air on PBS in the fall. … Young Jacob Tremblay ("Room") will guest-star (as the last kid?) on "The Last Man on Earth." … Tracy Morgan will star in the pilot of an as-yet-untitled FX series co-written by Jordan Peele.

Another fine mess

Lady luck?

Singer-songwriter Linda Perry has apologized to Lady Gaga after tweeting that the singer should not have received an Oscar nomination as co-writer of "Til It Happens to You" (from the documentary "The Hunting Ground"). Saying she has a demo of the song that proves Diane Warren wrote all but a few words, she tweeted, "Why did Gaga get credit?" adding that she loves and respects the singer. "Maybe because Diane wanted to ensure her support in promoting the song." Perry has since deleted the tweet. Her own "Hands of Love," from the film "Freeheld," was not nominated.

The BET network has jokingly (or maybe not) asked for its money back from Stacey Dash, who starred on its show "The Game," after she opined on "Fox and Friends" that "If we don't want segregation, then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the [NAACP] Image Awards." On the positive side, she did get a note of support from Donald Trump.
