'Twilight,' starring Ms. Cobain? If only it weren't for her fear of fame, rocker Kurt Cobain's daughter would have had starring roles in "Alice in Wonderland" and "Twilight." At least, that's what mom Courtney Love claimed in a recent -- and one assumes rambling -- interview with a British magazine. Frances Bean Kobain, 17, chooses to avoid the spotlight, which is why she turned down "Alice" director Tim Burton and the "Twilight" folks when they came calling, Love said. Maybe Frances could avoid fame better if Love didn't bring her up in interviews.

The final reel Director M. Night Shyamalan has been announced as a keynote speaker at the 3-D Entertainment Summit in Los Angeles in mid-September. He has directed only one 3-D film, "The Last Air Bender," which was converted to 3-D after filming and was lambasted by Roger Ebert (among many other critics) for looking "like it was filmed with a dirty sheet over the lens." ... Lady Gaga reportedly wants to make a feature film that would be a cross between Michael Jackson's "Moonwalker" and the 2006 movie adaptation of "Dreamgirls," but a rep later denied the rumor. ... Jennifer Aniston said recently that she would be interested in a role in the yet-to-be-confirmed "Arrested Development" movie.
