The Dish: Famous voices replace Jeff Bridges in ads during Oscars

Hyundai replaces Bridges with several actors.

It takes a village To comply with Academy Awards rules against commercials that feature Oscar nominees airing during the broadcast, Hyundai has recorded new voiceovers to replace the ones done for the company's regular ad campaign by best-actor frontrunner Jeff Bridges. In the new ads running Sunday, the work will be handled by Kim Basinger, Richard Dreyfuss, David Duchovny, Catherine Keener, Michael Madsen, Mandy Patinkin and Martin Sheen.

The final reel Ben Stiller is at work on a 10-years-later "Zoo-lander" sequel with "Iron Man 2" writer Justin Theroux, who will also direct. ... Johnny Depp and real-life partner Vanessa Paradis will be writer/lovers Nelson Algren and Simone de Beauvoir in Lasse HallstrÖm's "My American Lover." ... "Shrek Forever After," the (mercifully) last in the series, opens the Tribeca Film Festival next month. ... Bad boy Russell Brand will star in a remake of "Arthur." ... Joseph Gordon-Levitt replaces James McAvoy in the formerly titled "I'm With Cancer." ... Warner Bros. is sailing for "Gilligan's Island." No word how long it'll be -- maybe three hours?
