No-mow lawns
Ready to replace your turf with a no-mow alternative? Author Evelyn Hadden will present no-mow designs and ideas from landscape experts that you can adapt to your own yard. The program is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Minnesota State Horticultural Society, 2705 Lincoln Drive, Roseville. Library gardening
Hit the library before digging in. More than a dozen free programs on autumn yard and garden care will be offered in September and October at Hennepin County libraries. Master gardeners will discuss what to plant, prune and fertilize in the fall plus other winterizing tips. There also will be programs on spring-flowering bulbs, ornamental grasses, edible landscapes, growing berries and apple tree care.
