The Dirt: Gophers in the garden, welcoming wildlife and going native
Ten Goldy Gopher statues will be hiding among the peonies and hosta on the grounds of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum as part of the "Summer in Motion" celebration opening Saturday. Events include a ribbon-cutting for the Gophers in the Garden exhibit, garden walking tours and a wildflower garden open house. "Summer in Motion" also will present live music and outdoor screenings of family movies on various dates through Aug. 31, 3675 Arboretum Dr., Chaska.
