The Minnesota Department of Transportation on Monday will begin building a concrete median on a dangerous 3 ½ mile segment of Hwy. 12 that has had six fatal crashes since 2011. The stretch of Hwy. 12 from Wayzata to the Hennepin County-Wright County Line in Delano has had 11 fatal wrecks between 2011 and 2016 killing 24 people. It's become known as the Corridor of Death.
Family members and a lawyer say they have been blocked from access to the bedside of Bonfilia Sanchez Dominguez, while her husband was detained and shipped to Texas within 24 hours.
