Who's Up Viola Davis' 12 minutes in "Doubt" are stirring up quite a passionate response. Among powerhouse actors Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams, Davis more than holds her own: NPR's Bob Mondello calls hers "the film's most wrenching performance." Adds the Washington Post's Ann Hornaday, "In steps Viola Davis to steal not just her scene, but the entire movie from Streep."
Who's down Too big to remember his roots? Rumors are that Michael Cera is the only "Arrested Development" cast member who hasn't signed on for the movie version. Creator Mitch Hurwitz, asked about talk that Cera and Will Arnett hadn't signed on, was semi-cryptic: "I don't want to pressure anyone through the press ... although I will say that Will is gung-ho, so there's a big clue!" We love, love, love Cera's sweet bumbling act, put to fine use in "Juno," "Superbad" and "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist," but would it kill him to revisit the role that made him the thinking girl's pinup?
