I have been remiss in not mentioning sooner the latest issue of Knockout Literary Magazine, an attractive and intelligent journal published annually in the Twin Cities by Brett Ortler and Jeremy Halinen. "Help us Knockout boredom," the back cover says, and certainly this issue does that. It includes poetry from all over -- Billy Collins and Larry Bradley, and Minnesota poets Todd Boss, Tim Nolan, Athena Kildegaard and Mark Vinz.
Five percent of the proceeds from this issue will go to Motionpoems, the Todd Boss/Angella Kassube initiative that brings poems to video life, on screen and in your e-mail box (www.motionpoems.com).
Knockout sells for $10 and is available locally at most bookstores or online at www.knockoutlit.org.
