High school: Mitchell High School in Memphis. He was a three-time all-state player and McDonald's All-America, averaging 26.9 points and 13 rebounds as a senior. He was considered one of the top recruits his senior season.
College: He played just one year at Georgia Tech, averaging 14.4 points and 4.9 rebounds before opting for the NBA draft.
Draft: Young was selected 12th overall by Philadelphia in 2007.
As a 76er: In seven seasons, he averaged 13.7 points and 5.5 rebounds. The 76ers reached the playoffs four times.
