Good times.

Confession time: We have a (probably annoying) habit of declaring anyone with "Ball" in their name to be a blog rival. Mrs. RandBall shakes her head at this all the time -- and perhaps as a means of subtle revenge this morning turned every song we were singing/whistling while making breakfast into "Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car." Get into the backseat, baby.

So yeah, Montee Ball is one of those rivals. And now that he will be staying at Wisconsin for his senior season, we only expect that rivalry to grow.

Ball, by the way, said he was advised that he would only be a third-round pick in the NFL. That led us to check how many first-round RBs Wisconsin has produced, and the number is two: Ron Dayne and Michael Bennett, one right after the other in 2000 and 2001.

Your mission, without looking: What are the career rushing totals for Dayne and Bennett. And, after looking: Did your research surprise you?

It's time for the Twins farm system to pay dividends, as younger players will get a chance this season after a roster purge at the trade deadline.
