Edina High School principal to retire

Edina High School Principal Bruce Locklear has announced plans to retire by the end of the school year. In a letter to families, Locklear thanked the community for supporting him for 10 years.

"I am ready to graduate with the class of 2017 and plan for what is next," Locklear said in the letter.

Locklear leaves during a time of change for the high school as ninth grade transitions to the school and construction is completed.

"I am proud of all that we have accomplished," he said.
