Stu figures the next four Vikings games could send fans everywhere from euphoria to panic, which is not unlike a typical night at Stu's house.

Stu checks in with The Commenter Talker Of the Day, which he warns might be in lieu of a Hunt Down. We'll see about that. For now, Stu?

The Vikings' next four games: @St. Louis, home v. Baltimore, @Pittsburgh, @Green Bay.

0-4=PANIC

1-3=Suboptimal, but not the end of the world. The Ravens/Steelers/Packers stretch is by far the toughest part of the season. If you look at the remaining schedule, they might not be underdogs again until Week 15 at Chicago.

2-2=More than acceptable. I predict this as the most likely outcome.

3-1=Outstanding. This means at least one road win at Pittsburgh or the feral madhouse that will be Lambeau Field.

4-0=Super Bowl, homeboy. Your thoughts and the commentariat's?

Our thoughts? While we would settle for 2-2, we think a team with real Super Bowl aspirations should be aiming for 4-0 and hoping, at worst, for 3-1. The success of this season not only depends on keeping Brett Favre healthy, but also winning enough regular season games to secure indoor games throughout the playoffs. They need to be a No. 2 seed at worse, and that's only if New Orleans is the No. 1 seed and therefore provides an indoor game in the NFC title game if everything goes according to seed. Seriously, the last thing we want to see is a repeat of two years ago, when Brett Favre looked like an old man who just realized Matlock was canceled during the freezing NFC title game in Green Bay.

Finishing this stretch at 7-1 would go a long way toward the 13-3 that might be needed to make that happen.
