SWAT Solutions plans to add 20 more people to its software quality services business in the next 12 months. But CEO Todd Hauschildt is concerned he might not be able to find those employees here in Minnesota.
"If we can't find the workforce here, we're going to have to go somewhere else, because the work is coming," Hauschildt said.
SWAT Solutions, based in St. Louis Park, has experienced tremendous growth in the last year. The number of employees is expected to climb to 90 people next week, up from 55 last year, Hauschildt said. Annual sales at the company are between $7 million and $8 million.
Hauschildt said he's looking to hire more people in quality assurance. He said it's been a challenge to find qualified people with the skill sets he's looking for in the state and it's difficult to get potential employees to relocate to Minnesota.
If he can't find the workers, SWAT Solutions is considering opening an office in Atlanta, the Seattle/Portland area, Russia or India, he said.
