Two suspects in the shooting death last week of 17-year-old Keimonte White in Fridley were picked up by police Monday and booked into the Anoka County jail, according to authorities.

The two Fridley men, ages 20 and 24, are suspected of gunning down White on Thursday. Officers found the teen lying, mortally wounded, in the area of 6100 5th Street NE., after gunfire broke out sometime that night.

An ambulance took him to an area hospital, where he died.

The Star Tribune generally does not name suspects until they have been charged. The circumstances of their arrests weren't immediately known.

In a brief news release issued Monday, police reiterated that the attack does not appear to have been random and that the public is not at risk.
