If you can get past seeing your pale skin in the mirror, this is a great time to shop for a swimsuit, especially if you're well endowed. This weekend, local swim shop Nani Nalu will be hosting its Busty Beachwear Bash. Shop owner Jennifer Cermak shares her fitting tips for the D-cup-and-up crowd:

Don't shake: When you are trying on swimsuits, don't shake your bosom into the correct spot. Instead, hold the bottom of the left underwire with your left hand and reach in with your right hand. Grab the breast, lift it up and place it into the cup. Repeat on the other side. "This will actually place the girls up and into your cup," Cermak said. "In the right-fitting bra and swimsuit, it keeps you perky."

Find a supportive band: Support comes from having a snug back band. A well-fitting band line will give you lift, resulting in shape and curves.

Try an X-back: If halters hurt your neck, try a suit that crosses in the back. It's flattering, secure and takes pressure off your neck.

Branch out from one-pieces: Many D-cuppers are afraid of the tankini, but the two-piece suit can give you the same coverage while offering more support and shaping than a one-piece suit.

Show some cleavage: "Our D-cup customers are always concerned about how much cleavage they are showing off," said Cermak. "When you are size DD to G, there is really only so much cleavage we can cover before you look like you have a uni-boob under your swimsuit." The goal is to cover at least half the height of your bust.

Don't wait until the last minute: Do your swimsuit shopping now for the best selection. Some shops can special-order styles, sizes or colors if you shop well in advance of your warm-weather vacation.

11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thu. to Sun., Nani Nalu, 3922 W. 50th St., Edina, 952-546-5598, www.naninaluswim.com. Appointments recommended. Bring a friend and receive 10 percent off your purchase.

In this photo taken Monday, March 6, 2017, in San Francisco, released confidential files by The University of California of a sexual misconduct case, like this one against UC Santa Cruz Latin Studies professor Hector Perla is shown. Perla was accused of raping a student during a wine-tasting outing in June 2015. Some of the files are so heavily redacted that on many pages no words are visible. Perla is one of 113 UC employees found to have violated the system's sexual misconduct policies in rece
