The University of Michigan (or should that be Bring 'Em Young?) offered a scholarship to Hailey Kontny, an eighth-grader who attends Superior Middle School in Wisconsin -- just across the border from Duluth.
NCAA rules prohibit schools from directing contacting kids so young, so the Wolverines coaching staff sent word of their offer through Kontny's high school coach. Kontny, a guard, will reportedly consider the offer in the future. Better hurry kid, your signing day is only, what, 1,287 days from now?
