PICK THE RIGHT SHAPE

The shapes of eyeglasses and sunglasses should contrast with your face shape, creating a balance of angles and curves, says designer Robert Marc. If your face is:

Oval: Almost any frame shape, if in proportion, should work.

Long, thin: Go for a slightly wider frame.

Round: Angular frames add structure and have a slimming effect.

Square: Soft, horizontal frames offset an angled jaw line.

Heart-shaped: Bow-tie or almond-shaped frames balance the look.
