Hurricanes topple Blackhawks

– Justin Faulk and Victor Rask scored goals for the Carolina Hurricanes in a 2-1 triumph over the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday night.

Lack wasn't consistently tested until the Blackhawks outshot Carolina 19-9 in the third period. No. 1 goalie Cam Ward got the night off while the Hurricanes played on the second night in a row.

Faulk scored his second even-strength goal of the season after netting his first on Saturday night in the Hurricanes' 3-1 win over New Jersey. The Carolina defenseman leads the NHL with 12 power-play goals and is tied for the team lead with 14 goals overall.
