MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Tennessee wins, keeps SEC lead • NO. 1 TENNESSEE 63, KENTUCKY 60: A week that began with the first No. 1 ranking in school history was far from smooth for the Vols (26-3, 12-2). Chris Lofton scored 14 points, including a jump shot with 1:15 left, as they beat the Wildcats (16-11, 10-4) and stayed atop the Southeastern Conference. Tennessee was ranked No. 1 on Monday and lost to No. 18 Vanderbilt on Tuesday. Tennessee needs one more victory to win the SEC East Division and a share of the conference title.

• NO. 4 UCLA 68, ARIZONA 66: Kevin Love had 24 points and 15 rebounds as the Bruins (26-3, 14-2 Pac-10) hung on to defeat the Wildcats (17-12, 7-9) in Tucson, Ariz. I

• NO. 13 LOUISVILLE 68, VILLANOVA 54: Juan Palacios scored 13 points in his final game at Freedom Hall and led the Cardinals (24-6, 14-3 Big East) over the Wildcats (17-11, 7-9 in Louisville, Ky. Louisville's ninth victory in a row set up a showdown with No. 11 Georgetown next weekend for the Big East title.

• NO 17 NOTRE DAME 98, DEPAUL 91: Luke Harangody scored 24 points, Rob Kurz had 21, and the Irish (22-6, 12-4) hung on to beat the Blue Demons (10-18, 5-11) in Rosemont, Ill., and clinch a first-round bye in the Big East tournament.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Heels perfect in ACC • NO. 2 NORTH CAROLINA 82, NO. 12 DUKE 51: Cetera DeGraffenreid scored 14 points and Erlana Larkins had 14 points and 10 rebounds as the Tar Heels (27-2, 14-0) beat the Blue Devils (21-8, 10-4) in Chapel Hill, N.C., and secured the school's first unbeaten regular season in Atlantic Coast Conference play. North Carolina has won 10 consecutive games and earned the tournament's top seed for the third time in four seasons.

• NO. 3 TENNESSEE 72, NO. 22 GEORGIA 63: Candace Parker scored 30 points in her final regular-season game as the Lady Vols (27-2 overall, 13-1 SEC) beat the Lady Bulldogs (21-8, 8-6) in Athens, Ga. Parker scored 13 of the Lady Vols' first 15 points in the second half.

• NO. 5 MARYLAND 76, NORTH CAROLINA ST. 64: Maryland coach Brenda Frese hadn't been on the road with her team since December. When she made a surprise appearance in the locker room Sunday, her players responded. Laura Harper scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Crystal Langhorne had 20 points and 11 rebounds as the Terps (29-2, 13-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) closed the regular season by beating the Wolfpack (18-11, 6-8) in Raleigh, N.C. Frese has been gone since giving birth to twin boys Feb. 17.

• NO. 6 LSU 64, MISSISSIPPI ST. 49: Sylvia Fowles had 20 points and 12 rebounds as the Lady Tigers (25-4, 14-0) clinched the Southeastern Conference title with a victory over the Lady Bulldogs (16-13, 4-10) in Starkeville, Miss.

• NO. 7 STANFORD 74, WASHINGTON STATE 52: Candice Wiggins scored 24 points and became the Pac-10's career scoring leader as the Cardinal (27-3, 16-2 Pac-10) beat the Cougars (5-24, 2-16) in Pullman, Wash.

• TEXAS 65, NO. 10 OKLAHOMA 50: Brittainey Raven scored 16 points as the Longhorns (18-11, 6-9) upset the Sooners (21-6, 11-4) in Norman, Okla. Courtney Paris extended her double-double streak to 88 games by scoring 17 points and pulling down 15 rebounds for Oklahoma.

• JAMES MADISON 76, NO. 11 OLD DOMINION 63: Dawn Evans scored 19 points as the Dukes (20-8, 13-4 Colonial Athletic Association) ended the Lady Monarchs' 19-game winning streak in Harrisonburg, Va. It was the first conference loss for the Monarchs (26-4, 16-1).
