With a key NFC game at Green Bay (8-6), the Giants (9-5) don't have time to mope about how they blew a 21-point fourth quarter lead in last week's loss to the Eagles. That could be easier said than done. Asked what he did after the game Sunday night, Giants coach Tom Coughlin said, "I sat in a room with the lights out for about 2 1/2 hours. It's not funny. It's not the way it's supposed to be."

If Dolphins running back Ricky Williams blocks a Lions defensive back illegally, look out. Gunther Cunningham, Detroit's 64-year-old defensive coordinator, has vowed to take matters into his own hands if that happens. "All I can say to Ricky Williams -- and I want him to know this -- is if he hits one of our guys in the back on a crack block, then I'm coming on the field," said Cunningham, who accused Williams of using that tactic often.

Nearing 60, Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz isn't so sure he'll get another shot to be an NFL head coach. But with the Bears having clinched the NFC North, who knows? Martz did go 56-36 with four trips to the playoffs and one to the Super Bowl in six seasons with the Rams (2000-05). "Shoot, I'm 59 years old," he said. "I'm very happy with what I'm doing right now. If that's it for me, I'd be the happiest guy in the world."
