Ranking 31st in scoring with a mere 46 points, the Bears went 0-4 in the preseason for the first time since 1998.

But never fear, says General Manager Jerry Angelo.

"I've seen teams go 0-4 and have great seasons, and I've seen teams go 4-0 and have bad seasons," he told reporters. "Let's not overrate it."

He might also want to overlook the 10 times Jay Cutler was sacked in three preseason games.

The Lions went 3-1 in the preseason and while coach Jim Schwartz was careful not to get too excited, some of his players went ahead and got plenty excited.

"We look real good," linebacker Julian Peterson said. "We made dramatic strides from last year."

Careful Julian. In 2008, the Lions went 4-0 in the preseason and 0-16 when it counted.

Ho-hum. Another day, another seven experts picking the Packers to reach the Super Bowl.

NFL.com's seven-member panel of pickers unanimously agreed that Green Bay will win the NFC. Four of them picked the Pack to win their fourth Super Bowl. Only one picked the Vikings to win the NFC North.
