Sunday Insider: Fourth-and-five

September 26, 2010 at 4:32AM

Three observations ... • Washington plays the Packers, Eagles and Colts after Sunday's trip to St. Louis to play a Rams team that's 6-44 in its past 50 games. "This is a game we can't lose," Redskins running back Clinton Portis said.

• Philly's LeSean McCoy ran for 120 yards against Detroit. All but 7 came from three- and four-receiver sets. "We didn't want to pack it in and get into a slugfest with [that defensive line]," coach Andy Reid said.

• 49ers tight end Vernon Davis caused a bit of a ruckus in the Chiefs' 2-0 locker room when he told Kansas City reporters: "We have to win this one. We will win this one." The 49ers are 0-2 and tied for 30th in turnover ratio (minus-5).

... and two predictions • The Vikings will beat Detroit. (But if they don't, can you say 0-7 start?)

• Tennessee's Chris Johnson, who was held to 34 yards rushing last week, will run for 180-plus against the Giants.
