Outrageous deals on theOutnet.com Get ready for what is sure to be one of the craziest online sales of all time. To celebrate its first anniversary, theOutnet.com is offering thousands of high-end products for just $1 (plus shipping).

The site serves as a discount spinoff and outlet for www.netaporter.com. The dollar deals will include a Pucci dress (originally $4,455) and Marc by Marc Jacobs shoes (originally $485). To participate in the event on April 16, you have to register (click on the "1st birthday RSVP") online by April 11.

One person will win a golden ticket to pre-shop for five items with the assistance of a stylist. For the rest of the eager shoppers, the sale will be while stocks last, which we suspect won't be very long -- so you might want to upgrade your Internet speed.

Sales and events Through Saturday, Details Style Lab (346 Saint Peter St., St. Paul, 651-696-8700) is having a sale of at least 50 percent off almost everything in the store. That includes all of the denim from 1921 and Fidelity, which is being cleared out to make room for more casual and dress trousers.

Here's a beautiful happy hour. From 4 to 8 p.m. at the Ivy Spa (201 S. 11th St., Mpls., 612-343-131) on Tuesdays in April, get 15 percent off nail services, 20 percent off massages and 10 percent off waxing. Plus receive a free beverage ($12 value) and a signature lotion ($8 value). The math works -- it's a very pretty deal.

Cliché (2403 Lyndale Av. S., Mpls., 612-870-0420) is having a spring cleaning sale, so look for many items to be up to 60 percent off. Also, the Uptown store recently launched an online shop at www.clichempls.com, featuring local lines such as Niki Couture, Tendercuts, Amanda Christine and Kjurek Couture. So you can shop for Twin Cities style from anywhere or just get a preview of what's in the store.

Start off your week with a touch of shopping and some retro grandeur at First Monday at the Commodore. The not-quite-monthly series of shopping salons takes place at the Commodore (79 Western Av., St. Paul, 4 to 8 p.m.) on Monday. Enjoy a cocktail at the famous art deco bar as Willie Murphy plays the grand piano, and pick up some spring items such as beauty products from StormSister Spatique.

Mode is celebrating its grand reopening in a new location (7788 Main St., Maple Grove) with a designer denim giveaway. Just when you think the deals at this outlet can't get any better, they're offering a free pair of jeans (originally up to $212) to the first 40 customers between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. the rest of this week: Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It won't be hard to find something to buy, since most everything comes directly from the manufacturer and is sold at 75 percent off the original prices. You'll find designer denim ($40 per pair), yoga attire, handbags, shoes, maternity clothes and kids' stuff, including Ralph Lauren and Armani fragrances ($20 each), Petunia Pickle Bottom bags and accessories, Naturalizer shoes and Lila P cardigans.

The "winners" have all been Turkeys, no matter the honor's name.

In this photo taken Monday, March 6, 2017, in San Francisco, released confidential files by The University of California of a sexual misconduct case, like this one against UC Santa Cruz Latin Studies professor Hector Perla is shown. Perla was accused of raping a student during a wine-tasting outing in June 2015. Some of the files are so heavily redacted that on many pages no words are visible. Perla is one of 113 UC employees found to have violated the system's sexual misconduct policies in rece
