The Paris Flea

One weekend a year, vintage home shop Piccadilly Prairie transforms into a Paris-inspired flea market. The shop is bringing in a special selection for the event, including antique French postcards and photographs and French-styled furnishings. Peruse rows of furniture, decor and housewares at the cozy boutique with a glass of wine and 1960s French pop tunes. (6-8 p.m. Fri., 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sat., 1-6 p.m. Sun. Free. 5014 Xerxes Av. S., Mpls. 612-234-5014.)

Wow Bar on Grand Av.

The blow-dry bar trend makes its way across the river with the Wow Bar's new St. Paul location on Grand Avenue. The salon, which first opened at Edina's 50th & France in 2012, exclusively uses high-end hair care line Kérastase, known for its smoothing and heat-protectant properties. A recent visit left us with smooth, silky locks that lasted nearly a week. A 45-minute service includes a shampoo, massage and blowout with your choice of styling options for $35. (1104 Grand Av., St. Paul. 612-334-3333 or www.thewowbar.com.)
