22, marketing

Seen at: Fresh Traditions fashion show, sponsored by the Center for Hmong Art and Talent.

What are you wearing? Allen B dress, Forever21 blazer and jewelry, shoes from Heartbreaker, bag from a small shop in South Korea.

Describe your style: Dressy or girly pieces with a modern touch.

How do you come up with outfits? I don't dress by rules. But I do always try to be a little dressy even if I'm just going to the store, because any moment can be a first-impression moment.

Favorite place to go on a Saturday night? I like just gathering at a friend's place for a girls' night or going out to a nice dinner.

Has fashion always played a part in Hmong culture? Fashion wasn't practical in the Hmong farming lifestyle back in the day. But it did play a minor role once a year during the Hmong New Year because that was, and is still, the time to celebrate a year of hard work with a great new outfit.
