Now open: Atmosfere

North Loop retail just got a hot new addition: Atmosfere. It's the second location for the locally owned clothing boutique, which first opened in Uptown a decade ago. Unlike its menswear-only counterpart, the new store carries both women's and men's clothing and accessories. It's also introduced new men's brands Bruun & Stengade and Tailored Originals, plus hot Australian brand Neuw Denim. (730 Washington Av. N., Mpls., 612-333-1843, or www.atmosferempls.com.)

Designer trunk show

Twin Cities milliner Karen Morris is debuting her spring collection of hats Thursday at Lyn-Lake boutique Showroom. Available in a rainbow of colors and a variety of sculptural shapes, the hats are the perfect accessory for spring weddings and Kentucky Derby viewing parties. She'll be joined by Minnesota jewelry line Vikse and clothing designer Joeleen Torvick, plus complimentary sips and snacks. (4-7 p.m. Thu. Showroom, 615 W. Lake St., Mpls. www.showroommpls.com.)
