SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. β A stolen van containing $70,000 worth of equipment belonging to the 1980s band Flock of Seagulls has been found in Southern California β but it was empty.
City News Service reports the truck was found Tuesday night in Santa Fe Springs.
Band frontman Mike Score says the rented van was stolen from a Downey hotel Sunday. The thief might have followed it after the band's Saturday-night show in Bellflower.
The stolen gear included stage clothing, guitars, drums, a keyboard and computer hard drives containing the songs for Score's first solo album.
Hotel video recorded the theft, but no arrests have been made.
Flock of Seagulls is best known for its 1982 hit "I Ran (So Far Away)."
