The Minnesota Stars FC twice overcame two-goal deficits Saturday before pulling out a 3-3 tie with the host Atlanta Silverbacks on Justin Davis' goal in stoppage time.

Amani Walker and Devin Del Do also scored for the Stars.

Gophers win in 9th The Gophers overcame a late two-run deficit and beat Iowa 4-3 at the Metrodome on Matt Halloran's bases-loaded walk in the ninth inning.

Chett Zeise had given Iowa a 3-1 lead with a two-run homer in the sixth inning.

Relay team sets record The Gophers' David Pachuta, Travis Burkstrand, Nick Hutton and Harun Abda won their second Drake Relays title in as many days, breaking a 35-year-old school record in winning the distance medley relay in 9 minutes, 36.21 seconds.

The group won the 4x800-meter title Friday.

Big Ten golf The Gophers' Jackie Shepherd shot her second consecutive 1-over-par 73 and was tied for fourth place in the women's conference tournament in French Lick, Ind.

Shepherd trails leader Lindsey Solberg of Michigan State by three shots. The Gophers women are in eighth place after 36 holes.

• The Gophers men slipped to eighth place after shooting 20 over par in the third round. Erik Van Rooyen is tied for ninth at 6-over 222. The leader is Illinois' Luke Guthrie at 210.

Etc. • The host Swarm (9-7) closed the regular season with its fourth consecutive victory, 16-13 over the Colorado Mammoth.

The Swarm and Mammoth will meet in a first-round NLL playoff game Saturday in Denver.

• The Gophers got swept in a softball doubleheader at Penn State, losing the first game 6-5 and falling 4-3 in eight innings in the second.
