Staraoke Karaoke

7 p.m. • Turf Club's Clown Lounge • free

When popular karaoke night Staraoke was unceremoniously dismissed from its longtime home at Grumpy's in 2012, it left a gaping hole in the Twin Cities nightlife scene. Though karaoke lives on at many a Minneapolis dive, none has been able to top Staraoke's deep and seemingly endless rock 'n' roll library. Now the monthly party is making a comeback where it all began — the Turf Club's basement bar the Clown Lounge. Expect a songbook ranging from punk rock to hip-hop, a top-notch sound system and Minneapolis music stalwart Arzu Gokcen returning as the night's beehived host. Jahna Peloquin
