Mame

Continuing: Greta Grosch, left, and Teri Parker Brown are featured in Minnetonka Theatre's production of this popular Jerry Herman musical. Parker Brown, who plays the title role, is well known from years at Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, and Grosch (as Mame's buddy Vera Charles) has made her mark for nearly a decade with the "Church Basement Ladies" franchise. Therese Walth (Tracy in Chanhassen's "Hairspray") is Agnes Gooch in the Minnetonka production, which is directed by Andrew Rasmussen of "Wild Party" and "Rocky Horror" renown. (7:30 p.m. Fri.-Sat., 2 p.m. Thu. Ends Aug. 2, Arts Center on 7, 18285 Hwy. 7, Minnetonka, $10-$20, 952-401-5898, or minnetonkatheatre.com.)

GRAYDON ROYCE

RHYTHMIC CIRCUS

Friday-Saturday: Rhythmic Circus — a merry band of tap dancers and funky musicians — has been touring its original production, "Feet Don't Fail Me Now," nearly nonstop over the past couple of years and they have no intention of quitting anytime soon. After this two-night stand on home turf they'll be back on the road again with a national tour as well as performances in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (where they are audience favorites), plus several stops in the Netherlands. Next year the troupe will land at the Kennedy Center in D.C. Check out this homegrown high-energy, smile-inducing show full of smooth moves and excellent grooves. (8 p.m. Fri.-Sat., $30-$40, Ames Center, 12600 Nicollet Av. S., Burnsville, 800-982- 2787, ames-center.com or ticketmaster.com.)
