'DIRTY DANCING'

Opening: "Everybody cut loose, foot … " Oh, sorry, I got confused. This is the other 1980s dance movie that has been turned into a musical. You remember Jennifer Grey as Baby Houseman, who has "The Time of My Life" at a Catskills resort with dance instructor Johnny Castle? It's the classic summer romance story, set in 1963 — an innocent time before all heck would break loose. This stage version came out of Australia in 2004 and found its way to London's West End two years later. This North American tour provides Minneapolis audiences their first look at the show. (7:30 p.m. Tue.-Thu., 8 p.m. Fri., 2 & 8 p.m. Sat., 1 & 6:30 p.m. next Sun. $49-$134. Ends Oct. 19. Orpheum Theatre, 910 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. 1-800-859-7469, www.HennepinTheatreTrust.org.)
