CHOREOGRAPHERS' EVENING

Saturday: Once the turkey (or Tofurky) is devoured, it's time for another November ritual — Choreographers' Evening at Walker Art Center. For more than 40 years, emerging and experienced dance makers have contributed seven- to 10-minute works representing a wide array of movement perspectives. The husband-wife team of Chris Yon and Taryn Griggs curated this year's event using the idea of a mix tape created with a certain person in mind. Plus they've dedicated the show to New York performer/curator Nicky Paraiso. Each participant also will choose someone, or something, to honor. The intriguing lineup includes Juan Aldape, Angharad Davies, Theresa Madaus, Kaleena Miller, Jes Nelson, Yeniel "Chini" Perez, Otto Ramstad, Joanne Spencer, Morgan Thorson and Laurie Van Wieren. (7 & 9:30 p.m. Sat., $22, Walker Art Center, 1750 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls., 612-375-7600, www.walkerart.org.)
