St. Thomas' Ostrue named top center

St. Thomas junior center Josh Ostrue was named as the NCAA Division III recipient of the 2008 Rimington Award as the top center at his level of college football. He was chosen by the National Football Gazette staff.

Ostrue led a line that allowed only nine sacks in 10 games and produced 375 yards of offense per game.

Henry to Mankato Brittany Henry, the 2008 Class 1A Ms. Soccer Minnesota winner who led Mahtomedi to a state title last season, was one of nine players to sign with Minnesota State Mankato.

Ashley Sykora of Cooper and Cassie Weik of Tartan are the other Minnesotans in the group.

Henry's Zephyrs were state champions her sophomore and freshman seasons, with a third-place finish her junior year. She holds the career school records for goals, assists and points.
