A St. Paul Park man who shot at police for three hours before a law enforcement sniper wounded him early Tuesday morning was charged Friday with three counts of attempted murder against a police officer and three counts of using deadly force against a police officer.
Nicholas Kluessendorf remains in a hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. No officers were hurt.
During the incident, which began about 3 a.m. Tuesday, Kluessendorf allegedly threatened to kill police officers while shooting from his residence with his mother inside, according to court documents.
A sniper shot Kluessendorf about 6:30 a.m. after he fired as many as 40 rounds from a rifle and shotgun at Washington County sheriff deputies and police officers.
