Thursday-Saturday: Concertmaster Steve Copes will be featured in Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 1 in B flat. The eclectic program also features the wind sextet "Mladi (Youth)," a late composition by Leo Janaek, and Shostakovich's Chamber Symphony in F, an arrangement of his string quartet No. 3. Its nods to popular music hark back to Shostakovich's early job as a pianist in a silent-movie theater. (7:30 p.m. Thu., Temple Israel, 2324 Emerson Av.
