Carleton could have used a GPS navigation system Saturday afternoon to locate St. Olaf's J.J. Strnad.

The senior running back scored all five TDs for the Oles, four on the ground and one through the air, in a 34-27 victory over the Knights in MIAC play.

Strnad scored the go-ahead TD on a 73-yard jaunt with 1 minute, 16 seconds remaining in the third quarter. He added a 44-yard insurance TD late in the fourth quarter. He ran for 226 yards on 23 carries, earlier scoring on runs of 3 and 36 yards.

Strnad opened the scoring with a 16-yard reception. He caught five passes for 78 yards.

The Knights turned the ball over four times, including an interception at the St. Olaf 10-yard line with 27 seconds left.

St. Thomas 78, Hamline 7: The No. 9- ranked Tommies scored 50 first-half points against the Pipers and cruised to an easy win. John Gould threw four TD passes in the opening half while Jordan Roberts added two short scoring runs.

Concordia (Moorhead) 56, Augsburg 24: The Cobbers scored 35 second-half points, pulling away from the Auggies for their fourth consecutive victory. Michael Herzog threw for three TDs and Chad Johnson ran for three for the winners.
