MJ Anderson reopened his recruiting on Nov. 29, and it led him right back to where he was before: Minnesota.

Anderson, a three-star defensive end from Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis, announced Wednesday on a video posted on Twitter that he has committed to the Gophers again. The 6-3, 270-pound senior originally gave the Gophers a verbal commitment in August before exploring his options. He made his official visit to Minnesota over the weekend.

Anderson is the 59th-rated strong-side defensive end by the 247Sports.com composite rankings of major national recruiting services. He helped Christian Brothers win the Missouri Class 6 state championship. He had scholarship offers from 16 Power Five programs.

Anderson's commitment gives the Gophers 23 players in their recruiting Class of 2019, with the three-day early signing period opening Dec. 19.
