Dylan Hecker rushed for 198 yards and three touchdowns to lead Wisconsin-Oshkosh to a 31-14 victory over St. John’s on Saturday in the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs.
Hecker’s second touchdown -- a 16-yard run -- gave the Titans a 16-7 lead early in the third quarter of the game played in Oshkosh.
The Johnnies, ranked No. 9 in Division III, scored to pull within three points (17-14) going into the fourth quarter. But Devon Linzenmeyer scored on a 72-yard run in the first minute of the fourth quarter to restore a 10-point lead for the No. 4-ranked Titans (11-1).
Late in the fourth quarter, Hecker capped an 8-play, 47-yard drive with a 20-yard touchdown run.
Dusty Krueger rushed for 119 yards and Jackson Erdmann threw two touchdown passes for the Johnnies (10-2).
