WEEZER/ANGELS & AIRWAVES Friday: Out supporting its sixth album and third one that's officially self-titled (unofficially, it's "The Red Album"), Weezer has to make up for some lost ground. The new disc has sold poorly compared with past efforts, despite the buzz over the fun first single, "Pork and Beans." It's also the power-pop heroes' first tour since frontman Rivers Cuomo returned to Harvard University and nearly disintegrated the band. If the past is any indicator, though, Cuomo's troupe usually bounces back strong. Former Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge has kept up his own strong presence in the more serious and artsy band Angels & Airwaves, which might be as big a draw at this show as the headliners. Canadian buzz band Tokyo Police Club opens. (7 p.m. Fri., Xcel Energy Center, 175 W. Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul. $40-$50. 651-989-5151.)
