VIC CHESNUTT/JONATHAN RICHMAN
Friday: Although they have little in common besides intimate appeal and quirky wits, these two veteran tunesmiths drew raves on their first tour together and are out again. Richman, who has a new album ("Because Her Beauty Is Raw and Wild") due next month, has maintained a cult following since the '70s, briefly dabbling in mainstream success onscreen in "There's Something About Mary." Georgia boy Chesnutt has complemented his Faulkner-like Southern storytelling abilities with gorgeous instrumentation on recent albums, including the new "North Star Deserter." (8 p.m. Fri. $14-$16. Cedar Cultural Center, 416 Cedar Av. S., Mpls. 612-338-2674.)
