FLOW: NORTHSIDE ART CRAWL

Now, in its fifth year, Flow has become one of the best ways to explore the revitalization effort underway on W. Broadway in north Minneapolis. Think of it as the North Side's version of Art-A-Whirl. A central hub for the self-guided art tour will surely be the new 5 Points complex at Penn Avenue N. and Broadway. The building will feature three floors of art and activities, including a lounge and performance stage. Juxtaposition Arts, 2007 Emerson Av. N., is celebrating 15 years with a live mural, plus T-shirt making and the sale of works by North High School students. The rejuvenated Capri Theater will showcase work by young artists and musicians. Of course, it wouldn't be an art crawl without music. The KMOJ stage (at 1200 W. Broadway) will have live acts plus food by El-Amin's Fish House. The Cub Foods stage will feature a variety of singers, rappers and dancers, as well as the finals of the Let It Flow youth talent show. (3-8 p.m. Sat. Along W. Broadway, Mpls. 612-521-4405 or www.flownorthside.org.)
