Two snowstorms will merge into one powerhouse blizzard by Wednesday, bringing a large swath of heavy snow and strong winds from the Midwest to the Northeast.

The storms will run right through the heart of the major airports of the Midwest and Northeast today into Wednesday, creating an air traveler's nightmare over the next couple of days.

Major hubs that will likely have major delays or cancellations include Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Baltimore/Washington, Philadelphia, Newark, New York and Boston.
