Six-run fifth inning helps White Sox crush Twins 13-3

Chicago belted six homers, including two by Yasmani Grandal — three each off Twins starter Bailey Ober and reliever Matt Shoemaker — to take charge of the game early.

CHICAGO — Yasmani Grandal drove in as many runs (five) as the Twins had hits in the Chicago White Sox's 13-3 romp over the Twins on Wednesday night.

Grandal hit two of the White Sox's six homers, three each off Twins pitchers Bailey Ober and Matt Shoemaker, as Chicago broke open the game early with a six-run fifth inning.

Josh Donaldson and Nelson Cruz homered for the Twins, who have now lost six consecutive games at Guranteed Rate Field.
