Junior forward Simone Kolander's seventh goal of the season, at 23 minutes, broke a 1-all tie and led the Gophers to a 3-1 victory over Indiana at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium. She has scored one goal in each of the past four games, and three of them have been game-winners.

With the win, No. 18-ranked Minnesota (9-1-2, 4-0 conference) remains alone atop the Big Ten standings.

April Bockin scored the Gophers' first goal in the 15th minute. The Hoosiers (3-5-4, 0-2-2) tied the score two minutes later.

Kolander then extended her goal-scoring streak with Maddie Gaffney getting the assist. Josee Stiever scored the final Gophers goal in the 62nd minute.

"Our whole attack is getting a lot better," Kolander said. "You saw in the beginning of the season that we were having trouble finishing.


• Gophers senior Jessika Mozia, playing with six different freshman partners, went 6-0 in doubles in the Minnesota Invitational in women's tennis. Freshman Caitlyn Merzbacher also went 6-0 in doubles with different partners. In singles, Gophers players went 23-9, led by Mozia who was 3-1 in the top flight to take third.
