'Twilight' hits after dark Set your alerts, "Twilight" fans. The popular film version of the bestselling book series arrives on DVD this week -- not today, as would be the norm, but Friday just after midnight (technically, 12:01 a.m. Saturday, the actual release day). Retail outlets across the Twin Cities will be open late to sell the DVD (Summit, $33) of the vampire tale, which stars Kristen Stewart and heartthrob Robert Pattinson. The party starts at 10 p.m. at stores that include Wal-Mart, Borders, Hot Topic, FYE and Blockbuster. Enter your ZIP code at the "Twilight" movie website (www.twilightthemovie.com) to see what's available near you. The only stores selling the Blu-ray version ($35), Target and Best Buy, aren't part of the party.

Out today: "Barbie Presents Thumbelina," "Barney Miller" (Season 3), "Bolt," "Elegy," "JAG" (Season 8), "Married With Children" (Season 10), "Mr. Belvedere" (Seasons 1 & 2), "The Nanny" (Season 3), "Princess Bride" (Blu-ray), "Punisher: War Zone," "Quo Vadis" (Blu-ray), "The Robe" (Blu-ray), "The Three Stooges Collection" (Vol. 5), "Travels With Hiroshi Shimizu" (Eclipse Series 15), "Wuthering Heights" (2009).

Tweets bring rhymes Sure, it's a little early for Poetry Month, which starts April 1. But last week's Technobabble column on Twitter drew this inspired protest of the popular online service by reader Tim Torkildson of St. Anthony:

Like a form of littering,

everyone is Twittering.

Everything without regret

is posted on the Internet.

Private moments don't exist,

disappeared into the mist.

Spare me mundane details, please.

Don't record your every sneeze.

I am just completely sated

by these folks, so Twitter pated.

I would tell the world: Behold!

All that Twitters is not gold.

I guess in Twitter lingo, we'd call that "poetwee." By the way, if Torkildson had tweeted his anti-ode to Twitter, it would have been 200 characters too long.

In this photo taken Monday, March 6, 2017, in San Francisco, released confidential files by The University of California of a sexual misconduct case, like this one against UC Santa Cruz Latin Studies professor Hector Perla is shown. Perla was accused of raping a student during a wine-tasting outing in June 2015. Some of the files are so heavily redacted that on many pages no words are visible. Perla is one of 113 UC employees found to have violated the system's sexual misconduct policies in rece
