Koonyai jewelry
By day, Beau Sinchai is an MFA candidate studying 3-D design. By night, she's the owner and designer of jewelry line Koonyai Studio. The designer launched the line while teaching summer classes at MCAD, as an outlet to turn her conceptual design ideas into physical objects. With a mix of materials traditionally used in construction — concrete and metal — Sinchai creates geometric wire earrings and diamond-shaped concrete studs that are both rough-hewn and refined. MaeMae & Co. + Cait Courneya
When creative people become friends, collaboration is inevitable. Such is the case for Megan Gonzalez of stationery and branding company MaeMae & Co., and fashion illustrator Cait Courneya. This month the friends launched a new line of home goods that includes pillows and prints featuring designs of pineapples and palm leaves, rendered in a chic black-and-white palette.
