Scene + Heard: Positive Image's Father Daughter Dance

Pastel balloon centerpieces lit up the ballroom of the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center, but they were no match for the bright eyes of proud fathers as they beamed at their daughters. Positive Image's third annual Father Daughter Dance is a community-sponsored formal evening that focuses on the significance of a strong, healthy relationship between a girl and her father.

Following a keynote presentation by Kim Nelson, General Mills senior vice president of external relations, guests took to the dance floor, where daddy-daughter duos rocked everything from old standards to hip-hop.
