What do you get when you combine snow and yoga? Snoga, of course.

To raise awareness of healthy bodies, hearts and minds — and to raise money for Hennepin County Medical Center — dozens of yogis braved windchills of minus-25 last month to practice Snoga on the Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis.

Bundled in parkas, snow pants, winter boots and face masks, instructors from Yess Yoga of Minneapolis led a frosty 20-minute session of down dogs, warriors and sun salutes. After the namaste, yogis were rewarded with s'mores and hot coffee, which helped melt the icicles that formed on eyelashes, beards and scarves.

Yoga enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels endured arctic wind chills in support of Yess Yoga's second annual Snoga. ] (SPECIAL TO THE STAR TRIBUNE/BRE McGEE) **Diane Docis (background, white jacket), Elisabeth Pletcher-Harincar (front, green coat)
