There’s Mermaid Cove, Shepherd’s Green and the Fairy Wing Forest. Those are just a few of the magical places at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival in Shakopee, ending Oct. 1. The streets are lined with the wares of more than 250 artisans and 150 spots to buy mead, wine and whimsical libations. Ren Fest, one of the nation’s largest and longest running, is an interactive event that takes visitors to a 16th-century fantasy land filled with unicorns, mermaids and jousting knights.
