Today begins an 11-week literary scavenger hunt conducted by Graywolf Press, the Loft Literary Center, Milkweed Editions and Coffee House Press in celebration of their various anniversaries, and in conjunction with local bookstores.

The rules are simple: Each week until Dec. 26, a question about Minnesota's literary history will be made public here and at twincitieslit.wordpress.com The question must be answered in person at one of several bookstores (different stores every week) or, this week, at one of three other locations. Contest participants must secure a stamp in a trivia "passport."

The person with the most stamps at the end of the competition will win $2,000 worth of prizes: books, tote bags and a season pass to the Talking Volumes regional book club.

Here's this week's question: What was the name of the restaurant housed in St. Paul's storied Hungry Mind bookstore?

If you know the answer, go to Coffee House Press, 79 13th Av. NE., Mpls.; Graywolf Press, 250 3rd Av. N., Mpls., or Milkweed Editions or the Loft Literary Center, both at 1011 Washington Av. S., Mpls., and get your passport stamped.
